Just over 30 years ago, Pat Preston and his late wife, Patsy, started Derry Reel (named after Patsy's home village of Derry Reel), selling shoes and dancing accessories at Feiseanna in the UK.

Pat continued the business from his home in Basingstoke with the help of his son Vince. Who now has taken over due to Pat Retiring, and Pat is now enjoying a quite life.

Known by everyone as 'The Shoe Man' Vince sells and advises on a very wide range of shoes including lights and heavies, to dance trainers. Derry Reel also sells accessories including jewellery and Irish dance music.

While Vince and his friend Pete are familiar at Feiseanna in the UK and Ireland, Derry Reel also has a thriving export trade, selling to Dancers and Teachers in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the World.
